In order to manually add a location, you need to navigate to the location management page and then click the "Actions" button top right, from there, select "Add New Location"
You will need to add the required information in order to progress with the creation of the location, the fields you must complete are as follows:
- Location Type
- Location Category
- Location Name (this must be unique)
- Address Information
You must then save the location before the other tabs on the screen become active.
Entering Address Information
The user interface supports a smart search capability in order to find the address
Simply type in the place and or address and resilienceOS will display matching options for you to chose from, if you select an option from this list, the system will automatically populate all the details and display a pin on the map.
Alternatively, you can manually add the address, however, you will need to enter all the address information.
Once you have completed the required details, click "Save Location Details" in the bottom right hand side of the screen, which will unlock the other tabs within the platform.
Additional Details
This allows you to add key contacts from the people data base to associate them with the location, this could be the security or building manager or resilience champion.
You can also store URL's or web links that provide you with access to information about this location.
Site Plan
The site plan allows you to either upload or draw the outlline of your location.
If you are uploading your file it needs to be in JSON or GeoJSON format and less than 2mb.
If you are drawing the plan, you utilise the tools displayed on screen:
Once you are happy with your outline, click on "Confirm Boundary Outline".
Buildings & Floors
This allows you to add buildings to the site and floors within buildings
When adding a building you are prompted to draw the shape of the building in the same manner you drew the location shape.
This gives you the ability to draw your campus and the buildings within the campus.
When creating a building you must provide
- Name
- Code
- Latitude, this wil be pre-populated
- Longitude, this will be pre-populated
Optionally you can provide notes.
Zones
This allows you to create and manage zones.
Zones are linked to your access control system allowing you to identify when people badge into or out of a specific zone.
